Register by Tomorrow for Tickets

Burning Man has made some changes to their ticketing system, in an attempt to overcome the chaos caused by last year’s ticket lottery. It’s not quite as easy to get a ticket to Burning Man as it is to any other event; there are some hoops you have to jump through.

ticket 1998Your opportunity to register for tickets ends at noon Pacific time on Sunday Feb 10 (that’s tomorrow). Then, you’ll have to try to get on their servers after noon on Wednesday Feb 13 – that’s when all the people who’ve registered will be competing to purchase the 40,000 Individual Sale tickets.

Tickets are $380 and you can purchase a maximum of 2. If you manage to get a ticket, you can gift it or sell it if you want. Scalp away!

What do you need to do? We’ll break it down for you in easy steps.

1. Create a Burner Profile. To do this click here.

2. Use the username and password from your Burner Profile to register to buy a ticket. To do this click here.

you will then receive an email from Burning Man, with a unique code that lets you buy tickets.

3. Wait til noon on Wednesday February 13. Then, click here

Good luck!

  1. I am really loving the theme/design of your weblog. Do you ever run into any internet browser compatibility issues? A small number of my blog audience have complained about my website not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Opera. Do you have any recommendations to help fix this issue?

  2. Have you ever considered writing an e-book or guest authoring on other sites? I have a blog centered on the same information you discuss and would really like to have you share some stories/information. I know my subscribers would enjoy your work. If you are even remotely interested, feel free to send me an e-mail.

        • I’ve heard this complaint quite a few times today. In person and via the web. Beats me, try your name if you don’t remember creating an alias. We would’ve designed the user interface and ticketing system in a much more user friendly fashion…but it’s not up to us. We’re just trying to help as best we can…as they say in Beavis and Butthead, “the squeaky wheel gets a greasin'”

          • Lol, well, that sounds logical to me. Thanks for all your great articles & your input on this curious username problem. Like having too many keys, I’ll just keep trying till I find one that fits. Perhaps this was intentional on the part of BMorg? In the hopes that scalpers can’t remember a dozen different aliases?

      • If you were successful in creating your profile, BMOrg will send you an email prior to the ticket day with a special passcode that you need to use when ordering tickets. The email also has a link to your profile so you don’t have to remember the name/alias/email you used when creating the profile. Good luck!

        • Thanks so much Sledge! I’ll forward this info to everyone I know- takes some uncertainty out of ticket day. Good luck to you, and see you safe at home, on the open playa!
