Burning Man set to detail its long-term plans

Following mea culpa for lottery, Burning Man set to detail its long-term plans | Reno Gazette-Journal | rgj.com.

Looks like some sort of announcement is scheduled for next Wednesday.

“I would say the main thing that happened between this year and last year was they created a reason for scalpers to believe they could prosper from getting a Burning Man ticket,” Doherty said.”

“The BLM in Nevada is still reviewing a new five-year permit for Burning Man that would increase the 50,000 population cap of Black Rock City to 58,000 in 2012. That cap would increase to 70,000 people by 2016.”
